Calcasieu Parish Jane Doe was a young woman found shot to death in December 1991. 15 women have been ruled out as the decedent as of May 12, 2021.

Case

On December 22, 1991, the decedent was found lying on the driveway leading into a field near Vinton, LA.

She had passed as a result of multiple gunshot wounds and was deceased for approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the discovery of her body.

A medical autopsy determined the victim to have had an extra vertebra and had been suffering from back problems during her lifetime. Genealogical analysis of the decedent determined her to have had an admixed ancestry with many traits characteristics of African, Hispanic and or Native American ancestry.
