Catherine 'Cathy' Lynne Sjoberg was a teenager who disappeared from Concord, Wisconsin after leaving prom at the Concord House dance hall. Foul play is suspected in her case.

Case

Cathy was last seen leaving Oconomowoc High School's prom, which was being held at the Concord House, during the early morning hours of June 5, 1974. She had gotten in a fight with her boyfriend at around 3 AM and decided to step outside for some fresh air and to cool off. No one else saw Cathy after that.

Cathy was supposed to be sleeping over at a friend's house, so at first her mother didn't assume she was missing until the next day. According to her mother, Cathy had no reason to run away. She was due to distribute programs during Oconomowoc High School's graduation ceremony and was going to be maid of honor at an upcoming family wedding. According to her mother, it wasn't like Cathy to miss those types of events, and she overall seemed to be a happy teenager.

In 1980, six years after Cathy's disappearance, a nineteen-year-old couple was found murdered in a wooded area. The couple had disappeared a month before their discovery from from the parking lot of Concord House after a wedding reception. Due to similarities in the both the couple's and Cathy's cases, it is speculated that they may have been killed by the same person.

In 2009, Edward "Wayne" Edwards was arrested after DNA evidence linked him to the 1980 double murder. At the time of the double murder, he lived near the Concord House and worked as a handyman. He also had a criminal record dating as far back as 1955 and was even on the FBI's Most Wanted list at one point. However, authorities do not believe Edwards was involved in Cathy's case, as he wasn't in Wisconsin in June of 1974.
