Cook County Jane Doe was a woman whose right leg was discovered sticking out of a trash bag at a Chicago recycling plant. The leg had been sawed off at the hip with a fine, bladed instrument by someone who appeared to have some basic knowledge of anatomy.

Examinations of the victim's tissue revealed the presence of cocaine and ethanol. The rest of her remains have not been found.
