Door County John Doe is a Norwegian man, initially identified as Swedish by mistake, who died of typhoid fever on December 23, 1892 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He was working a railroad worker who was diagnosed with the disease a week before his death. He was buried at the South Side Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay, with expenses paid for by the city. Few details are available in his case.
