"Earl" is the unverified first name of a man killed in a vehicle accident in Gorman, California on January 26, 1956.


The victim was on US Highway 99 when he stopped a vehicle and asked the driver to borrow a jack for unknown reasons. As he was crossing the highway, he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. He was transported via ambulance to Newhall Hospital in Valencia, California and pronounced dead at the hospital. According to witnesses, he possibly said his name was "Earl" and he possibly also said he lived in a motel at 27th Street and Long Beach Avenue in Los Angeles, California.
