Escambia County John Doe was a male found deceased in Florida in 1970.

Case[]

The decedent was discovered on the evening of Monday, June 15, 1970 in Bronson Field of Escambia County; east of Perdido Bay and south of Lillian Highway. He was buried under about 6 inches of soil. The exact date of his death is unknown, but the man was believed by authorities to have been deceased for less than a week prior to discovery.

His cause of death was via a beating to the right side of the head with a blunt instrument. He had several bruises present possibly from trying to fight his attacker. He had broken his wrist and several of his fingers during the attack.
