Garnett John Doe was a young man found beaten to death in Kansas in 1973. NCMEC reconstructed him in 2015. He is occasionally referred to as 'Anderson County John Doe.'

Case[]

On April 18, 1973, a landowner found skeletal remains in a small stream in a wooded area 180 feet from 1550 Road, 3 miles southeast of Garnett in rural Anderson County.

The victim suffered injuries consistent with being beaten. Authorities aren't sure if he died where they found him or if someone moved him post-mortem.

Authorities believe he may have been a hitchhiker.
