John Lindberg Scott (May 6, 1950 - September 14, 1977) was a young man who was killed in Delafield, Wisconsin, after a single-vehicle crash while fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle. He was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
He was identified by the DNA Doe Project in November 2021.
Case[]
On September 14, 1977, a Waukesha County Sheriff's deputy parked on the highway in Delafield, Wisconsin, saw a car speed by him. The deputy then began to pursue the car. After approaching an intersection and ended up in a wooded area. The deputy found that the car was upside down. The driver's body was found 25 feet away, having been ejected from the seat.
The car was later determined to have been stolen from Gurnee, Illinois. In the car, numerous items with the name "John" were found, but it is unknown whether if they were associated with the driver, or the owner of the car.
