A maintenance crew found the skeletal remains near a railroad outside McAlester while burning weeds in the right-of-way. Skeletal analysis indicates the decedent was a possible manual laborer with lower socioeconomic status and he might have died years prior to discovery.
Characteristics[]
- Possibly had black hair.
- Old healed fracture of the nose.
- Fusion of the C4 and C5 vertebrae .
- Wedging of C6 vertebra.
- Osteoarthritis in the lower back and hips.
- Limited lower back mobility.
- Displayed regular tendency to hold head forward with flexed posture.
- Right-handed.
- Edentulous.
