Gwinnett County John Doe was a man whose dismembered remains were located in Georgia in two separate discoveries that took place years apart. His decomposing torso was found in a wooded area in 2009, and in 2012, his skull and some bones were located five miles away from where the torso was found.

After the successful identification of Gordon Rexrode, the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner announced that they would pursue genetic genealogy to identify this man as well.

Case[]

As no obvious perimortem injuries were found on the remains, the cause of death was not able to be determined, but the nature of his discovery and the state of his remains strongly suggest foul play. The victim had been intentionally decapitated and dismembered after he was dead.

NamUs maintains two separate case files for the torso and skull, but investigators have confirmed that the remains belong to the same person.
