Case[]

The decedent was a passenger in a tractor-trailer involved in a crash on I5 in Cowlitz County, killing her and the driver. Using the trucker's fuel receipts - the route started from Missouri on May 7th, 1991, and drove through Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and Oregon before arriving in Washington on May 14th.

The truck made its scheduled stops on time. The trucker was heading south to Portland, Oregon, where they rear-ended another vehicle after pulling onto Interstate 5 near Kalama. The crash caused a fire that destroyed the cab and burnt the bodies of the truck driver and the decedent.

The trucker picked up hitchhikers frequently - though nobody knew any details about the decedent.
