|Disappeared||October 21, 1998|
|Missing for||22 years|
Yuan Xia "Incha" Wang (born September 13, 1986) was a girl that disappeared on her way to a doctor's appointment on October 21, 1998, in Lincolnia, Virginia.
Chaichana Klaharn, a Thai citizen, was caught smuggling Yuan into Washington D.C. Dulles International Airport from China. Since she spoke limited English, a Chinese translator was needed. She told authorities that she was from Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, and her parents had paid Klaharn a large sum of money to smuggle her to the United States.
Klaharn was charged with passport fraud and Yuan was sent to live with a foster family in Alexandria, Virginia. She was then enrolled in the seventh grade at Holmes Middle School.
Yuan was last seen exiting a school bus at approximately 3:00 p.m. on October 21, 1998. The bus was near Lincolnia Road and Deming Avenue in the Lincolnia area of Virginia at the time. She supposed to take a cab to a doctor's appointment at 3:30 p.m., but she wasn't there when the cab arrived and never showed up for her appointment. She never returned to her foster home and has not been heard from again.
