  • Her growth might have been stunted due to contracting measles during childhood.
  • She was likely of Southeastern Asian ancestry and was likely foreign to England. She may have been from Thailand, China, Korea, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia or the Philippines.

2019 Developments

In 2019, it was announced that investigators are examining a link between Pennine Woman and a woman who has not been heard from since 2004. According to her family, she is originally from Thailand, married a British man in 1991 and moved to south-west England one year later.
