Leslie Jones (Born September 14, 1978) was a teenager who disappeared alongside his cousin, Shawn Jones. Leslie is known to use the given name "Les" or possibly the last name Waukey (His mother's last name) or Proulx (His stepfather's last name)

Leslie had been living on the Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, also known at one point as the Cape Croker First Nation, with Shawn and his family for two weeks before the two boys disappeared. However, both of them were told to move out by Shawn’s mother, Lynette Jones, because neither boy was attending school. She was also on the verge of losing custody of her two other children due to Shawn’s behaviour; Lynette found pills in Shawn’s bedroom that he’d stolen from the community and she had to call the police on Shawn multiple times due to his aggression.

Shawn was supposed to go to a high school dance in the nearby community of Lion’s Head, Ontario on the night of October 22, 1993. Before he left to find a ride, Lynette gave him some money. When she woke up the next morning, Shawn had stolen his grandmother’s car and the $500 Lynette intended on using for Shawn’s hockey registration. Police eventually found the stolen vehicle in Lion’s Head; it’d been crashed and the driver would’ve been bleeding.

On October 24, 1993, Shawn and Leslie were seen hitchhiking from Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation to downtown Wiarton, Ontario. Between October 26 and 28, 1993, they might’ve been spotted at a Tim Hortons Restaurant in Owen Sound, Ontario. While Leslie was last seen in front of the restaurant on 9th East Street, Shawn was last seen in front of the Pacific Hotel on Berford Street.

Its been rumoured that Shawn and Leslie were breaking into other people’s cottages. There’s been unconfirmed sightings of the boys from British Columbia and it’s possible Leslie might’ve been seen in the late summer of 1996 on Wellesley Street East in Toronto, Ontario. None of these sightings are confirmed.

Lynette spent two years searching the streets of Toronto for Shawn and Leslie. At one point, she even travelled to Winnipeg to look for them.
