The remains of two other people have been found under similar circumstances, one in [[Macomb County Jane Doe (August 2012)|August 2012]] and [[Macomb County Doe (2013)|one in September 2013]]. It has been theorized that all three people are still alive and the remains were surgical waste that had been disposed of improperly, although it is also possible that they were victims of homicide, possibly by a serial killer.
