Petersburg Jane Doe was a woman whose skeletal remains were recovered in two separate occasions.
The decedent's partial skeletal remains were first discovered on May 14, 2007, when they were found washed up near a bridge abutment in Lieutanant's Run Creek behind a building in Petersburg, Virginia.
5 years later, on August 12, 2012, a human skull was found several inches deep in the Appomattox canal. DNA results linked the skeleton to the skull. However, NamUs still maintains a separate case file for the skull.
