Rex Allen was a teenage boy who fell from a freight train and became mangled in the tracks. He was still alive when he was found and taken to hospital. He told staff his name was Rex Allen and he came from Marseilles, Illinois. When asked his father's name, he said Pete and then Reese. The authorities tried to track down people by the name Pete Allen or Reese Allen, but none of them were the victim's father. Authorities concluded Allen likely wasn't his last name.
