"Spanish Mary" was the possible nickname of a woman who died of syphilis on February 18, 1894 at Baylen Street and Main Street of Pensacola, Florida. Apparently, she lived in the state for twenty years and was a "chippie." Additionally, it is stated her father was born in Alabama. She is now buried at the Potter's Field Cemetery in Pensacola. Few details are available in her case.
