Suwannee County John Doe was a male found dead near Interstate 75 in north Florida shortly after his death.

The Case

On April 26th, 1990 the unidentified body of a male was found off I-75 in a westbound ditch in Suwannee County, Florida; just about a half-mile south from County Road 136 near Live Oak.

Few details are available in this case; however what is known about it is that he was lying face up with his head against the base of a fence post. There was no drugs or alcohol found in his system and that he had not eaten prior to his death.

No cause of death has been determined.

Clothing and Accessories

The John Doe was found wearing blue jeans and underwear, as well as a gray t-shirt. He also had a pair of blue tennis shoes and a pair of socks on him.

He had $2.00 in currency on him at the time of his discovery.

Recent Developments

Though there has been slow movement in this case, there has been developments. The FBI currently have possession of a good quality fingerprint card on the John Doe, whereas Suwannee County Sheriff's Office has a poor quality copy. His teeth appeared to be in good condition, though tooth #17 and #32 appeared to be tilted mesially.

Currently, the Suwannee County Sheriffs Office has plans to reopen this investigation in hopes that someone will come forward to identify this John Doe.
