There's no way Stacy Arras could have ever been considered to be VS by the investigators. Stacy's case is one of the first missing people cases I read and since then I've found a lot of information about it. For what most sources say, most of the people and even investigators believe she died in the Yosemite national park where she got lost. There are a lot of SAR elements commenting on her Reddit that know the area she got lost in very well who agree that area is full of unknown crevices where she could have simply fell into and have her body concealed like forever without anybody noticing it.
