Tammy Lynn Akers was a girl who went missing in 1977 with her friend, Angela Rader. Foul play is suspected; convicted murderer Earl Bramblett is under suspicion, although he was executed for another crime. Akers' latest age progression depicts her at 50.

Partial remains of Rader were discovered in various locations in Virginia, using new DNA technology that assisted in the recovery of Gina Hall, whose partial dismembered remains were located in 2016. Akers remains missing.

Case

Earl Bramblett, during an episode of intoxication, remarked about "not wanting to hurt" Tammy. Explaining further, he elaborated to say that Akers had died in a fire and accused police of "covering it up."

Akers' case was briefly detailed on an episode of Forensic Files alongside Angela Rader, when the cases of the Hodges family was detailed. He was executed following his conviction of a quadruple murder.
